Physical Therapists – Indiana
Dr. Karen Wyss graduated in 1985 from the “school voor Fysiotherapy” in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Karen had her first job in Switzerland where she was introduced to manual therapy. In 1988 Karen came to the United States and she has been working in outpatient physical therapy with a focus on Manual Therapy. Karen completed two years of MT training via the Ola Grimsby institute followed by Manual Physical Therapy training at the University of St. Augustine (USA). Karen obtained her DPT in 2007 and completed in 2008 her Cranio-Facial Certification through USA. In 2020 Karen has completed her Manual Therapy fellowship training and has become a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapy. Karen has been a lecturer for years and she has covered a variety of topics such as Cervical and Upper Extremity relationship, relaxation courses, and several Manual Therapy focused courses.
Dr. Maribel Bacalan graduated magna cum laude in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from De Los Santos College in the Philippines. In 2015, she completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Dominican College in New York. She has been fortunate to work in various healthcare settings including outpatient, skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, hospital, and home health care. Maribel specializes in manual therapy, vestibular therapy and neurological rehabilitation and has certifications in vestibular rehabilitation (AIB-VR) and evidence-based concussion (AIB-CON) from the American Institute of Balance. She is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP), Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT), Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner (CKTP) and a board-certified Tai Chi for Rehabilitation Instructor. In her spare time, Maribel enjoys her yoga practice and spending quality time with her family.
Dr. Fronek completed his Bachelor’s degree at Purdue University in West Lafayette in biology. He then completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at IUPUI in 2019. Tim has a great passion for manual work in the outpatient setting and has a particular interest in the amputee and balance populations. He can get very creative with his interventions and loves to challenge and encourage his patients to do the best they can. In his down time, Tim enjoys yoga, exercise, gardening, painting, playing piano, reading, and spending time with his family and friends.
Physical Therapists – Florida
Rob received his bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from the Hogeschool Heerlen in the Netherlands. In 1998, he founded Integrated Therapy Practice.
In 2003, He completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of St. Augustine. He also completed his manual therapy (MTC), primary care (PCC), and the cranio-fascial, neck, and head pain (CFC). In 2008, He received his PhD from NOVA South Eastern University. Rob completed the Manual Therapy Fellowship program at Regis University and the orthopedic (OCS) certification in 2008.
Rob has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 1995, the North American Spine Society since 2002, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists since 2006. Rob is an assistant professor at Florida Gulf Coast university and remains active in clinical practice. Additionally, he is an adjunct faculty at the University of St. Augustine. Rob’s research interest relates to manual therapy, pain, and brain modulation.

Matt Hard, PTA
Matthew received his B.S. in Kinesiology in 1999 from the University of Illinois, where he also attended graduate school and taught undergraduate classes in Biomechanics and Human Motor Control. He received his P.T.A. degree from Ivy Tech College in 2004. For the past 16 years he has been practicing in an outpatient setting with an emphasis on manual therapy. When not working, Matt enjoys doing anything outdoors, including camping, hiking, and bike riding
Cecibel Karina McLain, PTA
In 2009 Karina obtained her Massage Therapist Diploma from a specialized two-year private college while residing in Canada. Worked as an RMT (Registered Massage Therapist) within the rehabilitation sector in Toronto, Ontario before relocating to Valparaiso, Indiana to work as an LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist). In 2019 Karina received her Associate of Science Degree from the Physical Therapist Assistant program at IvyTech with honors (Cum Laude & Phi Theta Kappa). Became a fully licensed PTA as of July 2019. Karina’s strength is manual therapy and hopes to further her education with CEUs in a variety of specialties to keep broadening her skill set. She is multi-lingual (Spanish, English, Brazilian Portuguese), and plans to learn more languages. Karina enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two children, and multiple pets. She is learning to garden and turning her brown thumb to green. Her favorite physical activities are Latin dancing, Capoeira, and CrossFit.
Eryn Jenkins, PTA
She is a cum laude graduate of Ivy Tech Community College, where she received an Associates in Science as a physical therapist assistant. She is trained in several different settings including assisted living, outpatient, and sub-acute. Prior to this, she worked as a rehabilitation aide for 3 years for an outpatient clinic. In her spare time she enjoy lifting, reading, and being outside.
Ashlee Kurpela, PTA – Merrillville
Ashlee is a 2015 graduate from Ivy Tech Community College (ITCC) with an Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapist Assistant. She has a background in working at a skilled nursing facility with the geriatric population and has been employed at Integrated Therapy Practice since April 2018. Ashlee is also an adjunct faulty member at ITCC for the PTA program with class focus gearing towards outpatient orthopedics and kinesiology. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, attending concerts and sporting events, and spending time with her husband and her son.
Physical Therapist Assistants – Florida
Linda graduated with honors from Hodges University with an Associate’s degree in science as a physical therapist assistant. She is a certified orthopedic manual physical therapist assistant. She has spent the several years working in an outpatient orthopedic setting. She specializes in manual therapies, low back disorders, and balance/vestibular disorders. She is proficient in the McGill method for low back pain. She is also a clinical instructor for Hodges University and volunteers for the pain-free clinic in Fort Myers, FL, a non-profit pain clinic serving the needs of the under and uninsured.
Administrative Staff – Indiana
Billie has been the administrative assistant at the Valparaiso, Indiana location since Oct. 2009. Her interests are movies, traveling, exercising/nutrition and spending time with family./p>
Melissa Robles- Hobart
Melissa has been working for Integrated Therapy Practice since April of 2019. She currently works in the Hobart, Indiana office as an administrative assistant. She has three lovely children who keep her very busy. In her free time, she loves to watch baseball (Go Cubs!!), travel for basketball games, and of course spend a lot of time with her kids. /p>
Tiffaney Houston- Merrillville
Tiffaney joined Integrated Therapy Practice in January of 2020. She is a happily married mother of 3 energetic children. She has 15 plus years of administrative and customer service experience and I am currently looking to finish my degree in nutrition and health.
She enjoys spending most of my time with my husband, children and extended family. When she has some free moments she loves to read, watch movies and even enjoy singing. She loves life; she is grateful and blessed beyond measure!
Olivia Askew- Merrillville
Olivia joined Integrated Therapy Practice in February 2020. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and will be going back to school in the fall to further my education in Psychology. her interests include exercising, reading, and socializing.

Cape Coral, Florida
Meka graduated with honors from Florida Gulf Coast University obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in legal studies. Meka plans to go back to school and get her Master’s in clinical mental health counseling. She has been with Integrated Therapy Practice since 2016. In her free time, she loves to volunteer at ACT, spend time with her dog, and just relax before going back to school!
